Services, Labor Category Descriptions and Pricing
A. Information
Technology Professional Services: Database Planning and
Design Analyze the functional requirements to be met by the
database, determine the most appropriate DBMS, and design the database
structure for maximum user and maintainer efficiency.
Systems
Analysis and Design Development Analyze the functional needs of
the customer to be met by the data & GUI system, determine if the
needs can be met by modifying existing systems or if the needs require a
new data system. Determine whether a mainframe, client-server, or PC based
system is most appropriate.
Network Services Design Local
Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) to meet customer needs.
Install LAN & WAN hardware and cable. Maintain and troubleshoot
networks.
Programming Program, test and install new data
systems. Modernize existing data systems to bring them into Fourth and
Fifth General Language standards. Convert existing data systems from
mainframe based to Client-Server and PC based systems.
Assistive
Technology Perform needs analysis to meet the special computer
support requirements of persons with disabilities. Perform the
installation of adaptive hardware and software and provide training
services on installed adaptive equipment.
Millenium Conversion
(Y2K) Analyze customers existing data systems to determine the
impact of system utilization in the year 2000. Use automated tools to
highlight problem areas; fix detected problems by substituting tested Y2K
data algorithms.
Conversion and Implementation Support
Convert legacy systems to modern Database Management Systems and modern
4GL and 5GL language structures. Rehose legacy systems from mainframes to
client-server and PC environments.
Network Services Project
Management Provide recommendations for the improvement of network
services. This includes computer systems architecture, engineering,
design, programming, testing, training, maintenance, documentation,
installation, networking and operation.
Data/Records
Management Provide Data Warehousing Services. Provide
Configuration and Data Management support for customers’ data and records.
Select the most advantageous databases; such as IDS-II, DM-IV, INGRES,
SYBASE, Oracle, Excel, or Quatro-Pro; archiving the data; providing backup
for sensitive files; and, purging obsolete data and records.
