Contract #GS-35F-0152J: Description of IT Services, Labor Category Descriptions and Pricing

A. Information Technology Professional Services: Database Planning and Design Analyze the functional requirements to be met by the database, determine the most appropriate DBMS, and design the database structure for maximum user and maintainer efficiency.

Systems Analysis and Design Development Analyze the functional needs of the customer to be met by the data & GUI system, determine if the needs can be met by modifying existing systems or if the needs require a new data system. Determine whether a mainframe, client-server, or PC based system is most appropriate.

Network Services Design Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) to meet customer needs. Install LAN & WAN hardware and cable. Maintain and troubleshoot networks.

Programming Program, test and install new data systems. Modernize existing data systems to bring them into Fourth and Fifth General Language standards. Convert existing data systems from mainframe based to Client-Server and PC based systems.

Assistive Technology Perform needs analysis to meet the special computer support requirements of persons with disabilities. Perform the installation of adaptive hardware and software and provide training services on installed adaptive equipment.

Millenium Conversion (Y2K) Analyze customers existing data systems to determine the impact of system utilization in the year 2000. Use automated tools to highlight problem areas; fix detected problems by substituting tested Y2K data algorithms.

Conversion and Implementation Support Convert legacy systems to modern Database Management Systems and modern 4GL and 5GL language structures. Rehose legacy systems from mainframes to client-server and PC environments.

Network Services Project Management Provide recommendations for the improvement of network services. This includes computer systems architecture, engineering, design, programming, testing, training, maintenance, documentation, installation, networking and operation.

Data/Records Management Provide Data Warehousing Services. Provide Configuration and Data Management support for customers’ data and records. Select the most advantageous databases; such as IDS-II, DM-IV, INGRES, SYBASE, Oracle, Excel, or Quatro-Pro; archiving the data; providing backup for sensitive files; and, purging obsolete data and records.
